Bob
Neurological FIP

Progressive ataxia, wobbly movement

Bob, a 7-year-old Domestic shorthair, presented with dry neurological FIP symptoms that had been developing over the past 2 weeks. He was experiencing inappetence and imbalance, which had progressed to ataxia, and wobbly walking.

Serum biochemistry abnormalities at the initial exam included hyperglobulinemia and A/G ratio of 0.5 (albumin, 3.1 g/dL; reference interval, 2.2‐4.0 g/dL; globulin, 6.6 g/dL; reference interval, 2.8‐5.1 g/dL) .

Treatment with The FurPurr GS441524 was immediately initiated at 10mg/kg. Within 3 days of starting treatment with GS441524, Bob began to regain stability and appetite. After 1 month of GS441524 treatment, the ataxic movement resolved and he is able to walk steadily. The improvement continued to progress throughout treatment.

The previously noted serum biochemistry abnormalities had normalized (albumin, 2.8 g/dL; reference interval, 2.2‐4.0 g/dL; globulin, 4.3 g/dL; reference interval, 2.8‐5.1 g/dL; A/G ratio, 0.7). Bob is clinically normal as of today.
